My phone buzzed as I opened the door to my apartment, dumping the key into the shell bowl on my entrance table and kicking off my heels before dropping my heavy PS1 satchel on the floor and collapsing on the couch. After a long day of classes, I had to rush back and prepare a case file for one of the partners of the firm, and I absolutely couldn't mess it up, seeing as the partners could either make or break my future success at the firm. Grabbing my phone out of my bag, I quickly texted India to find out where we were meeting before looking at the 50 or so texts Erika had left me, detailing her interesting evening spent detailing forms with one of the hottest interns in the program. Just as I reached the numerous HE'S SOOOOOO HOT TALS LIKE SCORCHING FIRE F-CKING SUN OMG I CANT DEAL HELP 911 THIS ISNT OK texts, I gave up and texted Ben instead, a small smile settling on my face.

Switching on the TV, I slouched on the couch until seven, when promptly and on time, my doorbell rang and I opened it to find Ben, still wearing his suit from the deposition today. "You ready to go?" he asked, thrusting out a bouquet of daisies and tulips, my favorite. I smiled, accepting the flowers. "You have no idea how long I've waited for this."
